Sydney's 169,000 square foot TOP RYDE DRIVE-IN CENTRE was Australia's second major open-air shopping mall. It originally featured forty-five shops and a four hundred space car park. The anchor was a Sydney-based A.J. Benjamin (rebranded by Grace Brothers in 1964). Costing 1 million dollars, the complex sat 12 miles from downtown. Its slogan..."Come as you are...shop in comfort".
