It took 22 years to complete GREENHILLS CENTER. In this circa-1960 layout, we see that a structure originally planned as a movie theater has been completed as a combination I.G.A. supermarket and bowling alley. A north store block (in shades of gray) was completed between 1953 and 1960. City offices, on the south end, have moved to a new building outside of the complex.
In this full-color view from May 1969, we see the north and south store blocks of GREENHILLS CENTER. An Albers supermarket sign is seen in the distance. This store had been built on a pad north of the original shopping facility.
