The Flying Pig Gazebo, a fixture installed in the Town Square court. Cincinnatians are into pig-motif symbols. This dates back to the 19th century when the city, a major Midwestern meat-packing center, was nicknamed "Porkopolis."

In late 2008, the mall changed hands for the fifth time...with a North Carolina-based company taking the helm. The "Mills" name was not included in the transaction, so all references to "Mills" had to be hastily removed from mall graphics, signage and promotions. The original Mills logo was altered, with "Mills" becoming "Mall."
