Alas, all things must come to an end, including "obsolete" mid-20th century suburban shopping centers. In the case of ATKINSON PLAZA, its demise came in 2003. It was bulldozed and replaced by the shiny new TOWN CENTER PLAZA, whose stores opened between 2005 and 2012.
