A Northeast Wing expansion was announced in early 2014. When completed in 2018, it added forty-two stores and services and included the Treats Food Hall (a relocation of the mall's existing culinary complex). In this view, we see the imposing Aventura Slide Tower. This 93-foot-tall structure was created by artisan Carsten Höller.

Over the years, AVENTURA MALL has become recognized for its impressive collection of objets d'art. Here, we see the iconic "Love" statue, originally crafted by Robert Indiana, in 1966. A reproduction was installed at the mall in 1998.

Sears, a charter AVENTURA anchor, was shuttered in July 2017 and demolished in anticipation of yet another mall expansion. Construction commenced on the Esplanade At Aventura project in January 2019. The first phase of the open-air mall within a mall was officially dedicated in early 2023.

A circa-2023 plan shows the new Northeast Wing in light gray. The Esplanade At Aventura (in darker gray) increases the gross leasable area of the shopping hub to approximately 2.9 million leasable square feet, with a total of over 300 stores and services. Free parking is provided for 9,800 autos.
