A circa-1965 layout of "Brum's" BULL RING CENTRE. Encompassing 350,000 lettable square feet, it opened as the largest interior mall outside North America (the number two contender being Sydney, Australia's MIRANDA FAIR). BULL RING CENTRE was adjacent to Birmingham's Inner Ringway, a system of thoroughfares dedicated between 1960 and 1971. In this depiction, the configuration of mall courts and concourses is based on conjecture. I can find no physical layout showing exactly how these were configured.
