ROSELANDS was less than a year old before its size was surpassed. In September 1966, BANKSTOWN SQUARE, another Sydneyside shopping precinct, began trading to the public. This complex encompassed an astounding (for the time) 755,500 lettable square feet...155,500 more than ROSELANDS. BANKSTOWN also contained 140 stores, while ROSELANDS housed a total of 90.
